Paris 2024 Olympics Schedule

The Paris 2024 Olympics officially open with the ceremony on Friday, July 26, kicking off two-and-a-half weeks of sporting events that conclude on Sunday, August 11. Following the pandemic-delayed Tokyo Games, Paris will introduce breakdancing (or breaking) as a new sport. Traditional crowd favorites include swimming (July 27 to August 4), artistic gymnastics (July 27 to August 5), athletics (August 1 to 11), and track cycling (August 5 to 10). Notably, this year’s schedule includes an extra day of swimming, allowing for an exciting mid-Olympic weekend featuring swimming, gymnastics, and athletics events across both days.

In total, there are 32 sports, with some broken down into 48 separate disciplines, culminating in 329 events and 329 gold medals to be awarded.

Olympic Ceremonies and Key Dates
